Signing up Agreement with Prof. Yong-fang Li

After nearly 6-month communication, the Institute finally signed up the cooperation agreement with Prof. Yong-fang Li, a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his team. On 17th October, Hua Xin, deputy director and head of the administrative support center of the Institute, and Prof. Yong-fang Li respectively signed for the Institute and the team and decided to establish “Yong-fang Li R&D center of Organic photovoltaics”. The center is aimed to develop photovoltaic materials for polymer solar cells and large area flexible Organic photovoltaics. The Institute will provide Prof. Yong-fang Li and his team with 1000m2 labs and 5 million RMB funding.


The Institute is dedicated to aggregate global renowned elites in the area of organic optoelectronics at home and abroad. In this respect, the Institute has introduced 2 academicians and planned to introduce another one academician in 5 years in order to establish an innovative base of organic optoelectronics. In the first five years of establishment, The Institute strives to create an international platform that aggregates top talents, leading technologies and high-tech enterprises in the area of organic optoelectronics.


Since 1986, Prof. Yong-fang Li has been working in the field of optoelectronic functional polymers and has gained creative achievements in the development of photovoltaic materials of conjugated polymer donor and fullerene acceptor of Polymer Solar Cells (PSC), materials of electrode interface-modified layer of PSC and electrochemistry of conductive polymer. In recent years, Li is devoted to the development of photovoltaic materials for polymer solar cells and large area flexible Organic photovoltaics,


OPV and OLED displays and lighting devices both are in the field of organic optoelectronic devices. The cooperation with Prof. Yong-fang Li and his team will supplement the industry chain for the Institute and lay a solid foundation for establishing an organic optoelectronic industry park. Meanwhile, as the core technology in the midstream of the industry chain, the development of organic optoelectronic devices will be destined to promote the development of organic optoelectronic industry in China.
